I always ask myself when I see a "rich" company, just what are they doing philanthropically.
Following your post I went to
Google's Philinthropic Site. It looks like they are doing some good things there.
As with most "American Born", I also look to see what they are doing at home, right in their own backyard. We have a lot of needs here on American soil.
I believe a lot of American visitors would like to see that some of the profits are at work domestically. Balancing the "Portfolio"/Site between domestic and foreign endeavors can even cause contributions to go up.
I'd rather see a more balanced profile at google.org, but that's just my opinion.
