Default google uploads then drops our pages... what's up?

For the past year now, google will index and display thousands of pages from our site, and within the next day they will all be gone but a few hundred. next day 45,000 after an inurl: search.. following day 300.. this has been going on for over a year now... any ideas? our domain is www.knowaboutnetwork.com .... we have 180+ city directories some with as many pages as 800+ under the domain... it's the directory pages we're having trouble with.... for example www.knowaboutnetwork.com/cityindex.php?cityid=2

btw... this is my first thread so i hope i've posted in the right area... great site.. read here often

Google datacenters are not in sync. Note the ips that are showing your results.

i don't believe that's it as it is too drastic too often It's as if they index our pages and then go "hate 'em" and then index them again, display and then say "hate 'em' though many of the pages have never left the site

Doesn't work like that. Google has more than one index and they are not in sync.

Are you going supplemental?

Check indexed pages across datacenters using this tool:

that's a great tool.. thanks for the link. So i ran the test every server comes up 43,000 indexed.. all but 1 that says 388, which is what i get when i do an inurl: search... the supplimental is 43,000

so i guess now my question is, are people able to access the 43,000 pages? our traffic certainly doesn't reflect that.... is it just the google server I'm accessing that isn't displaying the full site?

thanks for your input scanmonkey... i owe you.. perhaps we have a directory we can post you on!

KnowAboutNetwork thanks for the offer.

The supplemental index has some issues. I believe that its broken and google is trying to fix it or so they claim. Check out this video

And here is a thread on the Supplemental Index Refreshes Data
