There was a post a while back that listed a URL to check whether a domain or IP address(s) have been blacklisted (or what ever you want to call it) by Google. Does anyone remember that post, or have that URL bookmarked?
My sys has just been restored and some bookmarks have been lost. |

Wa sjust on google help pages today it said to search your domain
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=www.domain.com With the results set to 100, if your pages show here, then it is not banned. Too bad there are many "non banned" ways they make your site go away. Countless threads about very relevent sites that are #1 on yahoo and msn and not in the top 1000 on google. While not banned, there are other ways they essentialy throw sites out. |

Thanks freehits.
I wasn't really looking for a way to make any sites go away, but I am curious but also feel a bit uneasy that there are ways to do this to legit sites. I was checking out a recip link request and usually check the site/page content, ensure there is a link to the "links" page, check PR and such. The PR on this site was "0". One one reason for low PR could be because the domain may be "new', or because of few links, however this domain has been around for 2 years and I didn't get to check for links. Your suggestion is a quick check which I didn't think to use - but will going forward. |
