Is there a shortcut to find out your actual position within google's rankings? In other words I don't want to use my keywords to do a search and go through page after page to find my location. My site is very new so I know I do not rank high.
Thanks in advance. Rick |

Rick -
Oddly enough, I was coming here to post the same request. Your post got me thinking ... so I went to Google and searched on "google hacks". I came across the following site that has a cool little application that does just what you are looking for. It's call Google Pos: http://douweosinga.com/projects/googlepos You type in your keyword/phrase and your url address, and it gives you a ranking number. It worked for me on most of my requests, but did come back with a 'Site Error' message a couple of times. The results that I received seemed pretty accurate ... a vairance of 2-3 positions. I had just done the exercise manually on a keyword phrase or two, and the results were pretty similar. It claims to provide results for top 100 Google results, but it did provide me with one that is ranked at 102 ... so, go figure. Good luck! |

Try digitalpoint.com where you can set the url and search terms for any number of phrases and they will report and track your google rankings down to position 9999.
