Default BigDaddy Rewards Craigslist

I was checking some SERP's this morning. It seems for the phrase "wedding forum" (minus the quotes), Google finds Craigslist exceptionally relevant.

Start here, around page 4-5...

http://www.google.com/search?q=weddi...&start=40&sa=N

Would someone let me know on what page Craigslist stops being relevant? I got tired of clicking.

Dave

Well maybe not for much longer .. correct me if I am wrong but doesn't Ebay own 25% of Craigslist?

As Googles's algo gets murkier and more profit-centered by the week, the Yahoo/Ebay tie-up may yet solve this little problem. Smile.

LOL! We'll see...

How's this for the most relevant results?

Doesn't appear they're having problems getting their site indexed huh?

Take special note that in both examples ALL the subdomain listings are identical and contain the same content.

Kinda makes you feel all warm and fuzzy they have plenty of room for those pages in the index but not your own don't it?

Yeah, nice list of results.

however

I am no expert in that market ;) but craigslist is probably the top forum in most of the geographic areas mentioned so not overly surprising..

Follow a couple of the subdomain listings. They're identical.

Default Well, it's a pretty large directory.

Well, looks like you should be in the business of creating a well done wedding forum that gets the amount of traffic that Craigslist does.

I think a lot of people don't realize the volume of people that use Craigslist for information and research. Hey, I personally found my dog on there. From a very nice woman who rescued dogs and was looking for homes through Craigslist.com

Now, I do think it's odd that their forums are results 40-80 and on. But there may not be as many wedding forums that are more visited than Craigslist.

Anywho, does anyone actually get to the 4th of 5th page of the results anyway? Isn't it something like less than 5% of searchers ever get near those pages?

Google appears to have placed additional weight on trusted .org sites, .edu and authority sites.
