I'm having a discussion with my business partner. (again)
We have a site we are gradually tweaking which is
http://www.white-dental-spa.com
now, the menu "home button" points at
http://www.white-dental-spa.com/index.htm
his point is that both pages must be seen as one and the same by Google and if a 301 were put in place from /index.htm to the home page, then that would in effect be a loop.
My thoughts are that Google displays diferent PR for each of them (not enough on either yet!) and therefore it is likely they are seen as diferent pages.
Who wants to referee this one?
