Okay, i came across something I haven't seen before, and would love more info on it.
![]() This is the first result for a specific keyword phrase that one of my clients pays for. I noticed the extra links, in the yellow box, and I'm wondering how those come up? Obviously, the yellow box is my addition. If you want to check it out in real life, Google rugged laptops and check it out. Any ideas?

this happens for sites with more link popularity to the inner pages also. so google deems that these pages are also oimportant for the search and lists them along with the home page.

Wow, it must be nice to be "deemed" important. Maybe one day. I know we actually have a bit cleaner of a site than them. But probably not "linked to" as much as they are.
So it's a random thing? Nothing paid for? Nothing that people can attain for?

This happens with some of my sites, as incrediblehelp says, it occurs where there are highly placed pages on the site linked to from the listed page - normally the home page.
Try searches for eclipse scientific or mid kent water The subsidiary links bear little relationship to what I have included as menu items, but are clearly related to the PR / search relevance of the subsidiary pages. |

A couple of my sites have this bestowed on them by Google. the subsidiary links seem to be related to the PR or search relevance of that subsidiary page rather than their appearance within the home page menu.
It also only seems to work where google interprets the search term as being the page / site title or company name see searches for eclipse scientific, eclipse laboratory mid kent water, kent water, drought mid kent the last searches have my sites at the top but no subsidiary links. Simon |
