Default Google - How slow and blind can they be?

Google still has pages cached on my web site that haven't existed for over 6 months and I think that's why my rank with them is sooooo freakin' poor.

I moved last summer so all of my keywords changed from "Indianapolis Home Inspection" To "Naples, Fort Myers Home Inspection". etc......

The cached pages that no longer exist show me back in Indy. I think this has confused Google and since they don't know where I am, they just don't allow me to show up at all.

I'm on page one, or close to it on yahoo, aol, msn, etc for my keywords, but I'n not in the top 500 on google.

Is there anything I can do about this?

Do you have more backlinks with your targeted keywords than your competitors?

You need to get some links with "Naples, Fort Myers Home Inspection" in the anchor text. Google is incredibly link driven - the pages in the supplemental results wouldn't be confusing anything, they will drop away as time goes on. The problem is the new pages need more links with the new keywords.

Thanks for the replies. I just recently (thanks to this forum) realized my backlinks did not have any keywords in them and I'm in the process of fixing that.

My past backlinks were something like "home inspector 25 years experience". Now my backlinks are "home inspection Naples, Fort Myers Florida". I'm REALLY concentrating on getting some good backlinks done.

Do all these free directories really amount to much? I mean none of them show up when doing a backlink check from the google toobar.

Even if you find a site on one of the directories, you click on it, do a backlink check from the site you just clicked on, the directory does not show up in the backlink check.

However, back to my original question - after 6 months, shouldn't all those incorrect page caches be gone????
