Site not in Google cache - is it a bad sign ?

Hi all, this is my first post here :)

Someone told me that fact that site doesn't appear in Google's cache (cache:....) is a bad sign.
I'm not sure what he means by "bad sign", but i would assume he refers to:

1) Site may be banned in future
2) Google isn't crawling it

Clarifications:
1) site appears in Google's index and has high PR.
2) site isn't using any spam techniques
3) robots.txt isn't used and no areas of site are restricted
4) site isn't using Goole map
5) it exists for 4 years
6) I'm not talking about site in my sig ;)

What do you think ? Where can i read more info about it ?

I think you should add sitemap if you're not still using it.

When google is not crawling the site for a longer period of time, it is a bad sign. Add the sitemap and then see the difference.

Hi, it's nothing to worry because Google sometimes takes a month also to crawl a site but if yous site don't get crawl after one month then contact Google admin because you may get banned in future...

Hello webmaster if your site not crawl by google then nothing to worry because google se take several time to crawl site just check your meta description and keywords if that are gone wrong seo then please replace it. And daily updates your blog. Because google want new containd every day. Post some quality article on your blog and do proper link building with high pr sites or directories.

Not caching , not indexing for new site is not problem but old site like 4 yrs not cached and indexed means the site have some problem from google, sure get penalized by some reason.

if you are not submitting your site a site that has been indexed by google then don't expect rankings from G. Well , they are right. If it is a new site then wait another few months .

Have you analyze the site or check the pages of the site? Maybe the site admin give consideration so would you mind post the link so we check and give some comments on it. You know why we want to know the link? It is because we also learn from the problems of each member and we also gain techniques .

yah it maybe banned or reindex the site. It happen to me. it was out of cache then it goes back.
