How to get start google

I am newbie i have gone through some articles regarding google adwords/adsense and i have some idea about PPC.
but i have not understood some concepts. I have gone through the google learning center also. Where will the ads will display in google or where we have targetted the URL. If i bidded lowest for that and received good clicks and google will charge the same amount but how will i get the payment from the product that i have advertised. can somebody clarif the same with some examples.

If i bidded for $1 google charges how much
And how much i will get from the owner of the add
Where will i get the products that pays good commission for their product ads

you decide. by default you will show up where ever google ads are displayed but you can opt out of the content or search networks.
