Is this a sign of penalty?

If I search with my domain name "mysite" its displaying on 4th page, I am wondering what might be the problem, is this a kind of penalty? I done non-www to www 301 permanant redirect and it is pointing to root domain.

Has anyone came accross the same kind of situation and resolved it? If yes please let me know how to deal with it.

Get more inbound links. Just because your sites name is in the index, does not mean it has the qualities the engine looks for to rank it where you feel it should be. Get a couple inbound links with your company name in the the anchor text and watch it get better fast.

My site do have more than 2000 inbound links out of which, more than 100 links are with Company's name as anchor text including listing in DMOZ.

Any thoughts?
