Default No traffic from Google

My site www.phoenixdreams.com has been around for about 6 months. Initially still getting some traffic from Google but now not at all. I do a site: and found quite a number of pages are listed, it shows the site is there. Anybody have any idea what is wrong? Could it be sandboxed?

In addition, I've done what is necessary to get it SE optimized but however the site is not listed at all in Google for its keyword (handbag, hand make bag, exclsive handbag). Are these keywords too general?

Any advice is appreciated. Thank you.

Regards
LE

I can view the source code JuniorOnline - if you're using IE, you may just need to delete your Temporary Internet Files. It's a weird little glitch...

Cute bags mlsg04! And it's a good looking site as well - but, I'd suggest a few small changes. First, I'd get more text links to the subpages on your front page - it really does help!

Second, your product pages are popups - launched with javascript. You've got unique text for each product, so you want Google to index those pages. Killing the javascript and using descriptive text links would better encourage that. Also, realize that people will find you through those product pages - not everyone will enter through your front page. And if they find one of your product pages and then click on the Back button it closes their browser! I'd seriously consider switching from popups to product pages with regular navigation.

Finally and most importantly, you need backlinks! None of the big three search engines are showing more than two backlinks to your site - so the link in this thread is at least a start! Google and the other search engines rank your site based on a lot of factors - but the big one is backlinks.

yep its working now:) thanks

<TITLE>Handbag, bags, handmade products and handicrafted household product provider - Phoenix Dreams International</TITLE>

The above title tag is too long. Make it shorter and choose the best keywords you are targetting. Make sure the keyword you are using in the title tag are the same ones in your page headings. <-- this helps in Yahoo

Next and the essential SEO stuff:
on this page I would recommend change your page heading instead of saying (Professional) - I would say (Professional Handbags)

Apply that to the rest of your categories.. make use of those keywords in your <h1> tags

www.phoenixdreams.com&hl=en&lr=&safe=off&rls=GGLG, GGLG:2005-44,GGLG:en&start=10&sa=N]Check this out[/url]

Do you notice anything wrong here? Regarding file and directory structure -- names?

Sure... _ instead of - and way too much focus on phoenix. The other interesting part is that they're all supplemental results and not actively crawled. More incoming links should fix that.

Oh, and did someone mention links yet?

Brian.

Default No traffic from Google

Thanks all for the good advice. I'll definitely try to add those suggestions in.

MrLeN and Brian, the reason I wanted to add phoenix_ infront of my filename is for file management purpose. I'm doing web design too so sometimes I realized in the haste of working, I may accidently overwrite some files especially when the clients filenames are the same (e.g. contact.htm, aboutus.htm). So putting the company name infront will save me alot of troubles unless someone can enlighten me a better way to do the file structure and file naming convention.

Finally, I guess my site is not sandboxed according to most comments. I just need more tweaking and link building, right! Thanks again everybody!

Regards
