Just signed up with imhosted.com for two years, registered ForumNorway by them and implemented a PHPbb in less than a minute.
It did not take long time for GoogleBot to find the site. At first I did not implement noindex, nofollow and noarchive (GoogleBot) in the robots metatags. But now it is in place. The sites are only templates so long. I also registered OopSchool at my Norwegian hoster. Shall be interesting to view the log statistics until I allow the Robots access to the site. Side remark: Most hosters have so many tools. Do you know of the tools your hoster use and do you use them? Took me 2 minutes to implement phpBB. That forum will foccuss on finance, economics, digital Ad and branding, OOP and IT security. It is not active yet. Hopefully during the spring 2006. There are so many other tools there, so check with your hoster before you buy e.g. more or less expensive ecommerce software. |

kgun, some free software is wonderful! And then there are the ones that aren't-- like phpbb, which seems to have security updates and problems with hacked boards so often that it's become a sort of a standing joke amongst webdevs.
In the sheer aggravation involved in restoring a hacked board, or doing a security update, or alienating your hard won traffic when they can't access you yet again, you might find that a more secure product that is modestly priced and that offers stability is worth MUCH more than the price. |

Read Bjarne Strostrup's introductory book about C++ (he is the creator of the cryptical, but yet effective OOP language - should we call it a language?). If you want to make your own web browser in 20 minutes, use (learn) Borland C++ Builder.
He knew Simula and C and out of that came C++. Many places he writes: This I "stole" from Simula and this I "stole" from Simula. We say that it took 20 years for foreigners (Strostrup is from our fantastic brother country, Denmark. Saying: Beautiful to be Norwegian in Denmark, and it is) to understand Simula? It was developed in the 60's. Now BETA (cooperation between some persons from Denmark and Norway) is a fact. It was developed during the 90's. Another 20 years and it is 2010 :-) Can you show me (not https) sites that young data gurus do not hack in 20 minutes? BETA (son of Simula) What about this advanced Site Crawler? You can download files into separate categories or create a duplicate of the original website. in seconds. (My addition). Begin while 1=1 do begin outtext("Hello World! It is still 2005!); outimage; end; End; Why make a while loop out of that program, while ... Developed in the 1960's and At the Université de Montréal, we recently ( 1994-1998 ) used Simula as the basic language to teach programming. Is it time for BETA? Please, don't call me Harry Hacker, even if I use templates when I can :-) P.S. If I remember correctly, the class concept in BETA is lifted to the most abstract level. There is only one pattern (class) that everything inherits from. It is like Kasimir Malevich (do you like them, I do) white square. From Symbolism Malevich adopted the idea that behind the world of appearances is a higher reality. Art serves a vehicle in the divine communication between realities. The square a was for Malevich a "zero form", behind which lies the way to new methods of creating. After a black square, full of the new potenialities, a red square was to give the signal of Revolution, in order to reach "the white square as pure movement." In search of supreme color, Malevich produced White on White, a monochrome abstraction, in which an off-white square was angled against a larger white square. "I have cracked the links and the limitations of color," Malevich said in the catalogue of the Tenth State Exhibition in 1918. Source: http://www.kirjasto.sci.fi/malevich.htm. Time will show if it is a valid comparison. <Quote> kgun, some free software is wonderful! I have one site that Google is hitting daily and they are at the top of the industry for all of their keywords and even words we didn't plan on.
On average my sites get hit every 2-7 days. |

a statistician to figure out that what I am experiencing now is not random.
1. Problem with Norwegian hoster: http://www.multifinansit.no/ The Toolbar sometimes pops up after two minutes. That company are reported to Norwegian police together with my ISP. I think at least one of them are responsible. But it seems as if digital criminality is not so serious in Norway. You are punishhed if you cut a cable for supply of electricity, but not if you cut a digital cable. You find out more by the following search: KW: (ddos attack) + kgun site:webproworld.com But just now it functions. May be somebody does not like the template from Macromedia. Is it too good? I have not cancelled the police report. Think time work for them? When do you think the problems with the ddos attack stopped? Yes, correct. When I said that I would report the case to Norwegian police. But then it was too late. And I promise you, I was very patient. It lasted 1 1/2 month. 2. Problems with my foreign hoster ip01.net, so I had to change to http://www.imhosted.com/ Very good impression at first, but soon problems with name servers and file system, including phpbb. Not able to change content on: http://www.oopschool.com/ They and my Norwegian registrar http://www.domeneshop.no/ does not agree on how you change name servers for .NO domains. No problem with .com domains. 3. Most probably a scammer from Glasgow, Scotland that would use my services because of a post here at WPW. Got information and blocked my email adress. I promise you, he shall not profit. Not good since a moderator at WMW, also from Scotland, throw me out of that forum without warning. May be because I pasted in links, but 1. The policy were not consistent. 2. Discussing without being able to past in links is like driving without lights as a moderator here at WPW said in a post. And I agrre. WWW without links? 4. In Norway, envying is stronger than sexuality. I do not know how it is abroad. Somebody may not like that MultiFinansIT has got top rating in Norway and that very soon. I have no time to tell you anything more. 5. I don't not know. Some people here at WPW have thanked me for input, even people that I regard as very competent on IT. May be somebody does not like that WPW became my preferred forum. Greetings from sub paranoid, Kgun :-) |
