Default Do I get crazy - Jagger3 still in flux??

Just when I thought it was all over:
http://www.google.de/search?hl=de&q=tagungshotel+wlan
now returns the same spam at #1 as pre-jagger:
www . zugbruecke . com/Hotel_Urlaub_Wellness_Tischtennis_Tagungen/Tagungshotel.html

This is just gross ... look at the page, you won't believe it. The page sports more than 1300 (!!!!!) lines of keyword stuffing. Is this Guiness book of records or what??

This page had been removed after I reported it several times. Now it is back. Right at #1.

And my site went further down: from #1 pre-jagger to #12 mid-jagger to #39 right now. The last drop must have been about last week. (Ha. I installed a Google sitemap. Coincidence?)

Anybody else still seeing changes?

This drives me crazy. Do they WANT us to spam or what? How the hell does the GOOG think that we can justify not employing black hat techniques? This is just a plain slap in the face: Make an accessible page and get busted, or spam like hell and get #1 position.

What upsets me most is that obviously the GOOG depends on human input for sortimg out spam, and they want US to do it via their reporting service. This is adding insult to injury.

ranting & raving,

What keyword or keyword phrase are you shooting for?
The way your source was set up it looked like your main one is Right to buy

Also, did you happen to notice a description difference from what was shown before jagger even started and then now what is listed?

Obviously, I am not talking about CTABUK's page ...

Have a look at the URL, it gives you the keywords: ....q=tagungshotel+wlan

I am talking about the #39 - hold it, I just shot up to #31 (right now, 2:00 pm/GMT+1):
http://www.goldner-stern.de/tagungshotel/wlan.shtml

What site are you talking about - mine or the spammer's? Both sites haven't changed their description since. And after all, Google does not use description for ranking ...

I am learning that you do whatever it takes to get results and if spam is a working option that is what you do.

Alex - I think this is probably due more to that fact that the plethora of Google DCs are still in a flux as a result of the recent backlink update.

IF I am correct in this guess, this will hopefully be a non-issue in a short matter of time.

I'm hoping that you're merely getting old results on a particular DC while the synchronization finalizes; crossing fingers.

The spamming page shouldn't be in there at all ... it had been removed about 4 weeks ago.

And spam is spam is spam - no matter how much backlinks you got ...

sorry about the mix up with the url. I don't pay attention to who owns what url. It happen to be in your sig....go figure.

I know I keep getting flak about google not using meta descriptions. I am also pretty sure that google was using your on-page text before jagger and is now using you metatag description.

Google did the same thing on a clients site. Google decided to use the meta description instead of their optimized on-page text description that google had used for a litle over a year. As a result of changing the meta description to match what was the on-page text description that google used to use the site shot up from #50 to #3.

You don't have to believe it since many seem to not think google uses a meta description for ranking, but you might want to keep it as a thought in the back of your mind.

I would guess you description in google used to be something close to this

OMG, that is really bad - on my mac there is no styling either, just browser default - is that the same for you?

Sadly confirms what I keep seeing in search results for all of the main engines, spam or directories... :-(

Holy smokes ... too bad I don't have a screenshot. Google IS using the description. Just WHY escapes me - AFAIK the GOOG almighty only uses the description when the search term is not in the body text, but in the description. Maybe this has changed? Anybody with similar observations?

BTW, the site just climbed to #29 ... at this rate, it must be #1 on wednesday morning ...
;-))

And guess what? The spammer fell back to #11. So the SERPs fluctuate quite a bit.

I concur, spam is spam and should be dealt with; my point about the backlink update though is that the results you are currently seeing on that particular DC may be a result of old results, not a reflection of current, relevant results. The site may have been pulled, but if that DC is pulling old results/cache until the synchronizing is complete, it will unfortunately showing the old, spammy results until they are cycled out down the road ...

Yes - this is an ultra-plain doorway page. Absolutely NO formatting, but - count 'em! - more than 1300 (!!!) lines of keyword stuffing.

Quite efficient.

@wrmineo:
Yeah, looks like some synchronizing is going on.

There is some minor flux going on. We have seen
+/- 10 position move on keywords.

Strangely have seen these two data centers http://216.239.37.104 and http://216.239.39.104 drop
to PRE JAGGER PR temporarily and then go back again.

There’s probably a pr update going on now which we will not see for a few weeks. Perhaps a PR toolbar update for sometime around New Years.

Do you think GGbot's pre-jagger visits will be more often again. We're not seeing caches closer than 4 - 5 days. Used to be about every day and more than once sometimes?
