Default 30,000 views a day and only 10,000 impressions on Adsense?

What in the world would cause this?
I am just starting and noticed my numbers MUCH lower than this, but asked a buddy who has something closer to the above numbers.
I know i had about 150 actual visitors at the same time on my page, but registered half that as page impressions for the whole day.

Default There are a number of things.

There are a number of things that can cause this.

1) JavaScript turned off
2) Ad Blocker software (many variations)
3) Other privacy settings
4) Norton Internet Security
5) Other

If you have 30,000 pageviews, how many unique visitors was that? Ads only count when unique sets of ads show from my testing, so if someone sees the same set of ads 5 times, they count as 1 impression but 5 pageviews on your site.

Impressions will always be lower than pageviews just by the nature of the web.

I have wondered about this too. I just wish mine were as much as 1/3.

Unlikely, but possible: It also could be a stats configuration issue. Have you checked how "visit" is defined in your stat program? Usually, it is dependent on a time span (could vary with stat prog). If this is somewhat short, you will "get" more "visits" from a single visitor.

1. Public service ads are not counted in Adsense
2. There were no ad to display including public service ads, try to setup alternate ad url and disable public service ads.
you will see that "alternet url ads"+"adsense" ~ "total page hits"
