Default Google Keywords Tricks

Hi All,

It seems Google has a weird way of positioning the pages for keywords. If you use a keyword in your title or description, but this keyword does not exist in your website, it would still display your site according to what you have in your title?

I thought everything has to be relevant and connected...

thanks,
Tania

As the title of a page is usually about what the page is about, why would Google not give a lot of weight to words in the title?

shouldnt the page title (heading) be the same or relevant to the (meta tag title)??

This is what I meant - the meta tag I used has a keyword has not been used across any of my website pages... yet it did display in search in top 10.

this really means, search displayed by google is not very relevant to what the site offers or content but what the meta tag titles says.
