Default Google Alerts

I receive Google Alerts every day on the subject of London Pubs and Bars. Does anyone know how to get content listed in these Google Alerts?

GOOGLE Alerts are a good way to know when GOOGLE finds a new link to any Site you want to monitor, including your own, clients and competitors.

Ken-

I know that one way to get listed in Google Alerts is to pay for one of the packages through PR Web. Never done it myself, but I know some people who did a PR and then showed up in the Google / Yahoo news systems.

Besides that...not sure.

So you guys are saying that Google Alerts is (can be) an avenue of advertising? I never thought of that. Maybe you're not.

I have my alerts set to keywords, domain names, stuff like that - to monitor shifts in rankings w/domains (my own too) are set for alerts.

ctabuk, do you have a copy of that email you'd be willing to share? I have an email or PM?

Am I missing something? Thanks!

Millions of people get Google Alerts daily no doubt - based on sites, keywords, subjects, etc - I suppose it could be a form of advertising sure. Also, it's a nice way to see if your site gets a "pick up" by another site or news feed ... or your comptetition.

Set up a Google news/website alert for "female celebrity" or "freshdames" - you'll see my website listed on Monday to prove my point :)
