Default Ranking on Google Regional Engines - How?

Any tips on getting ranked on Google regional engines? I have a .com site and some of the regional engines filter out .com. I have just submitted a .de and .co.uk version of our primary domain so that hopefully we will get indexed. Any other thoughts out there?

It helsp to also host your site where you want the search engines to find you. If you are targetting UK traffic you should host your site in UK.

Well hosting your site in the UK will boost your ranking a little on msn.co.uk or google.co.uk. Another thing is that if your target audience is in the UK the website hosted there are accessed a little bit faster so you gain 2 things ;-) Good luck

To rank well in the "regional" version of Google you'll need to do everything that Google is looking for--and your site must be hosted in that region.

In other words, like mentioned previously, you'll need to have your site hosted in the UK if you plan on getting a boost in the Google UK search results.
