Will New IP Address affect rankings?

My web hosting company is upgrading equipment/lines and it will be necessary for our site to have a new IP address. Will this affect the Google/Yahoo/etc rankings that we have struggled to achieve?

If so, is there anything we can do to minimize it?

Thanks for any help - I don't know anything at all about this type of stuff.
