Default When Do Backlinks Show?

I've been linked by some good sites that I was hoping would increase my exposure, traffic, PR and other obvious factors. However, it's been weeks and even months, since many of these have been placed and I'm still not seeing them register at/with Google and other engines.

Any idea, based on facts or experience, of how long it could take to get credit for this?

Any idea why they wouldn't be showing?

Thanks in advance!

Google only shows about 5-10% of all the backlinks it has about your site.

Here's a nice tool that will show you some more information:

I also have some other links that may be useful:

I just tried your tool which is very handy - thanks. The interesting part is that Google shows up as 0 backlinks because the tool is only looking at links to the domain without the 'www'. When I do the same search on Yahoo, we show for 2,430 backlinks which is great.

How much damage do you think our lack of backlinks to our site, without the 'www' is causing? And why wouldn't Google register our backlinks with 'www' as proper inbound links?

Any help on this conundrum would be appreciated.

Thanks
