Default I need to change a description in Google or delist a page

A client provided copy for their website, and has now told me that the content that they provided could legally hurt them. Well, we obviously changed the copy, but the description that comes up for their site in the search engines still carries the old copy. How can I fix this?

This is something that can only be changed by waiting for the SE's to update their index. The only way to really get it fixed is to have the SE delist the page or site. Google is the only one that I know will let you do this.

Thanks for the help.

I told my customer that if I could just pick up the phone and tell the folks at Google what to do with any given page ... I'd be a rich man :o).

Default Good thinking

You know, if you get that figured out I'm sure we'd all be willing to pitch in for you to make a call on our behalf. :-)

Default Here's A Quarter

I'm guessing that if your client is a GoogleAds client that Google would assist them in making sure their Ad Campaigns match current content on their index pages, probably able to fully repropogate throughout their mulitple IPs in 48-72 hours.

How bad is the potential damage to the client?

Would it be worth dropping a few G's in a GoogleAd account and use the leverage for quicker assistance?

I've seen untitle and previously banned pages in the Google top results within 24 hours of dropping the right amount of cash at the barriers.

Good luck.
