What just happened?

I am addicted to watching total results returned for my searches, The one I watch bounce around 300K to 600K to 800K back to 500K....etc.

Just went to 1,900,000 results yesterday.
any others spotting this huge jump in total results returned?

I've seen some big jumps too.

If I had to guess I'd say Google's updating it's database with new info in preparation for an update. If it's anything like the last one the numbers will go down again and then the update will happen - my guess is this weekend or early next week (we're talking algo update here ... not PR or backlink).

But then ... I also predicted April 1st for the PR update so ... ;)
