Internal Link Structures are Important:
I could have very well discovered an interesting way to get your internal pages a boost in
PR Ranking. All though many of you may have already known or thought this, but it's a good reminder for the newbies...
I have over 25 articles on my website. 9 of these articles are written my eBay Radio's Product Sourcing Editor Chris Malta... I have all of them inter linked. Each article, at the bottom, links to all the other articles.
I also have my own articles at this website... but most of them do not inter link... or they might just link to a few other pages, but are not recipricol in nature...
Chris's articles all have a PR2... my articles all have a PR1.
They are all included in the SiteMap. I don't see any other reason for it... unless Chris is labeled an authority and Google gives me a
PR point for linking to him, but I doubt that... I link to authority sites in some of
my articles.
So that's my observation and something I'm going to really continue to pay attention to in the future. I've notices a few other pages with a little higher rank that are linked to in various areas of the website as well...
It's really Google's way of weighing the relevance of a page I would think...
