Hi all,
Over the last couple of weeks I've seen our positions on Google dropping for many keywords.
Also, the number of backlinks shown by 'link:' is weird. I know it's just a sample of the actual IBLs, but even so... Around New Year Google dropped all our backlinks from 'link:' except one. Our SERP positions suffered a bit at the same time. We figured it may have been a dupe content issue due to some domains redirecting in the wrong way, so we put 301s in place. Over the last couple of months we've seen positions recover somewhat and 'link:' built back up to report 600+ IBLs (still only a fraction of what was shown before the New Year glitch).
Anyway, I check this morning and our positions are slipping again, and 'link:' is back to showing just 89 IBLs.
We are constantly adding new content, and I've had someone manually collecting links (about 70 new ones to various pages with various anchors added over the last month to 6 weeks).
We have added *no* bulk links, despite considering that at one stage.

Your observations, suggestions and advice would be appreciated. I can't figure out why we're not top for our main keywords, let alone why we seem to be sliding...
Thanks very much.
