Default Intermixing of Web Search and Images

Google is intermixing reults of its Web Search and Image Search for past few hours.
Look for Lion you will get three pictures from image search.
But when you look for Tiger you don't get.
Results are changing very fast.
If you look for world map you get pictures, when you look for map world you get a different set of pictures. When you search for Map California you get images, but when you look for California Map you don't.

More updates Please.

Default Further on Intermixing

Further to my post yesterday. Now even more servers are reflecting the changes. For instance now on most of the servers if you say USA Map you see two Maps, and wehn you search for Lion, you get three lion images.
If anyone has any update it would help a lot. When is this likely to stabalize.

Default More on Intermixing where you can see what is happening

Search for `Lion' on
216.239.37.99 & search on 66.102.7.99
It gives one with images intermixed and one without. 66 is with and 216 is without.

You can also search for other words such as 'map california' `world map' `map world'

Default Strange things are happening, some fixing required

If you search for - image jannet jackson, you get three images alongwith the search result.
But if you search for - image janet jackson with single 'n' you don't get any image. However single 'n' is the correct spellings.

Interesting, Simar, so this is what you get:

image jannet jackson: three images, and "Did you mean: janet jackson "
image janet jackson: "Tip: Looking for pictures? Try Google Images"
jannet jackson: "Did you mean: janet jackson"
janet jackson: "News results for janet jackson"

I wonder how Google decides whether to show or not? I thought at first it had some list of words such as "Lion" that it would show it on, but why "Jannet"?

Go figure

Further research brought out the following...

http://web.ask.com/web?q=map+of+unit...tes&qsrc=1&o=0

http://web.ask.com/web?q=us+flag&qsrc=1&o=0

Shall we call it inspiration for Google????

Default Now all of it has strangely stopped

Today while going back to validate what more they have added, I couldn't find any pictures coming. Probably some beta testing which has beeb put on hold as the page was becoming heavy and taking time to come???

Default Not abandoned

The project has not been abandoned.
Lion is back.
If you search for Lion it shows two images instead of three earlier.
If Google implements this feature it can be very damaging to many SEO's work. Watch out.
