One of my sites has a PR 4 http://www.eastendspecialplayers.com

I have done minimal promotion on this site just a few links.

Another site has a PR4 http://www.roban.net

Again minimal promotion.

Another http://www.vitaminlink.netused to be PR 4 but has been PR 0 for the past month and I can't figure out what sense this makes...if any.

The only thing different about the first site is that it is listed on DMOZ.

I'd check out the links you have going out on the vitamin site. Online pharmacies and Viagra sites tend to live in the "gray area" of website promotion and often incur a penalty.

One of those sites getting banned can set off a reaction, penalizing or banning all or many of the sites that link to it.

I didn't look at the links themselves, but that's where I'd start the investigation if I were you. See if their sites are cloaking, or if the sites they link to are doing anything risky. Look for sudden drops in their SERPs or PR.
