Default Totally confused on good bad links

Hi All ~

I've been one of the wall flowers off and on for a long time. The last 3 years it's been off, so I am really behind in the rules & regs of the various SE's my primary concern Google.

We've been setting at #1 for a highly competative phrase for probably over a year. Then Google's last upset/dance I understand 100's were dropped from google.... we were one of them.

One of the forums suggested it was the LinkManager program and/or some of the links to or from some sites. So I disconnected it and now do not have a link page. Within about a week, we popped back into #1 position, but with a PR: na ....what's na? and how does it affect our site as a whole to all SE's?

Another posts suggested we were dropped becuase we filed patent, trademark and copyright infringlement charges against a guy on 4 of his sites. One he literally copied and pasted using our trademark name as his domain name only without a 's' on the end. All of his sites were shut down and totally gone in ALL SE's. He's off the net. The 'pro' for lack of a better term suggestt that because I had done that (with their help) there was a mark against me. That it did not matter if I was the accused (?) or the accusor (?) -brain dead- . He said google has probably 'marked/tagged us'.

.... AND if you type our URL in Google's search box it says "Sorry, no information is available for the URL mydomain.com", which I believe people do and I believe it is hurting us. But I don't know how to fix it.

Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. :)

Default Linkmanager - causing harm

I just enrolled in Linkmanager about a month ago and now find my google backlinks falling rapidly.

Is there a connection?

thanks

It seems that someone had the right guess.
If your refer to your Google toolbar, "na" should mean: "not available", but if you're #1 again, that should be reflected in traffic numbers too and your PR is probably back.
Google incorporates it immediately in their search results but toolbar PR update (snapshot) is done once in a while, so you can't see it yet.

Posting exact URL is allowed in this forum and is usually helpful if you want more replies.

I have the same question. I have just eliminated my LinksManager account and all the pages that it produced.

I am sure I have links to sites that still use this service - is that an issue?

My site is www.officesupplystop.com

thanks

What do you mean have links? You mean other websites linking to you that use this service?

Sites which use LinksManager have my link on their site and I have links on my site to their site. Should I remove the links?

thanks

Well all you really can control is who you link to. I would remove the ones on your website, but not much you can do about the ones on other peoples website.
