Hello all, www.gambia.co.uk , (PR6) has always come up really well in google, under terms 'gambia' (1st) 'gambia holiday(s)' both 2nd/3rd etc.

however went in today to take a look and we've dissapeared completely!! Also, another site we look after www.golfgroups.co.uk (PR4), has also had the same effect on terms: 'golf groups' and golf groups holidays!
help!

Thanks. Joe.

I couldn't reach your site. Perhaps your domain has been blocked by your bandwidth provider but certain addresses are able to route arond it. This can happen due to complaint.

Either that or you've been kicked for keyword stuffing and bad practices by google itself.

Joesnow, you inadvertently included a comma in your URL above – I assume that’s why Skills couldn’t get to your site.

Now, on to your question – I’ve read elsewhere on this forum that in the last few weeks several other posters have had trouble ranking for their own names. Hopefully it’s a temporary glitch – but you’re not alone.

You might want to consider adding text links to your sub pages. Right now your navigation is all image links, so you’re missing out on the benefits of using your keywords as text links. Just adding a text link on every page back to your front page, using the word Gambia instead of Home might be enough to lift you up a few positions.

Good luck with your site!

sorry aboutt the URL fellas, just for the record its http://www.gambia.co.uk

we are aware that this site hasn't had much time spent optimising it, but we've always had good listings on our chosen terms so have never really seen it as priority.

As we are a specialist provider in holidays to gambia, I've always thought this stood us in good stead ahead of the competition, aside from the techy stuff side, surely you'd want to see company that prides itself on service levels and quality when booking your holiday?

Anyway, I just don't understand why we would go from 1 to 0 so quick!
