Happily, my website (
http://www.jlist.com) is doing pretty well, with no real difference over the past few months of changes. Thanks to being around or a while and having a lot of customers, we've got a
PR of 6. My question is, how do I get to be a 7? Is that doable for a single shop like mine?
Also, I'll be starting an affiliate system soon, so I'd presumably have, say, 20-50 new sites linking to mine soon by affiliates. Another question is, is it a Good Thing to have links from sites that are possibly lower
PR in rank? I believe it's a good thing to have one way links to my site (not reciprocal), but any advice you could share with me would be appreciated.
In an unrelated matter, are the people here familiar with Advanced Web Search (
http://www.advancedwebranking.com)? It's a tool that plots your current ranking for various keywords with all search engines. and it's a zillion times more useful than WebPositionGold or any of the other programs I've seen. I love the way it shows all my rankings over the past few months, so I can see what has changed for the good (or bad). And it works on Windows, Mac, and Linux. I am not affiliated with them at all.
