The Google Directory just changed, does anyone know if this is an update, or a backdate?

Looks like an update. I changed my title & description in Dmoz last week, and Google has the new one up now :)

Yes its an update - looks to be from a very recent DMOZ rdf dump. PR has also been updated in the Directory (the previous downward trends continue).
