Default The Google SEO Shuffle

New Google SEO Filter Hypothisis ----------->

If site meta title = exact domain name

and

95% all inbound anchor text = exact title

then filter & shuffle.....

I'm seeing alot of websites that are being effected that should NOT be as hard to find when searching for the exact name of the website....

hence - their over seo filter....

title, domain name, and url + heavy pop and achor match....

------------
Yep - case closed ----

I've got my proof.....

This site http://www.new-affiliates.com/ has been #1 for "new affiliates" for 2 years straight!

Never moved - Not Once.......!

Today ---------> It's Gone!

still number one on MSN and Yahoo!

Hmmmmm... that seems more like speculation than proof to me, but to speculate the other way my site moved up and it too fits your theory.

BTW what do you mean by meta title?

Clasione,

Are you making an argument citing the rumored "Over-optimization" filter here?

A theory is a theory if it has predictive power, and lasts only until someone finds an exception which is explainable under that theory.

I think alot of this algo chasing is backwards, as in we can find an example for most anything, then find an exception as well if we take the time to look.

As it has been suggested I would assume there to be many, many, many potential triggers if an over-optimization filter exists.

keep in mind they have spent years witnessing every form of spam-garbage, and likely a trigger would be in place which can deal with each one they have ever encountered.

If such a thing exists that is.

I have seen such strange returns, I cant see any pattern between them.

I have noticed a pattern. For the past week my site www.CanadaPokerStore.com moves in a pattern in the Serps of: #2, #6, #5, #4, #2 (in this order I believe)

It also seems that the # placement of my site for this search term is based on the time of the day it is.

I think they are trying to throw people off from using underhanded methods to gain top position. By using rotating results. This way you can not tell right away what is working and what is not.

Anyone else have an opinion.

heres what I see.
I watch my terms all day everyday. Currently there are two different seprs coming in one which has about 10+% less total results returned (often much more of a difference).

I watch one term that is about 550,000 results, this is about the common return and tedns to increase over time by a few thousand every couple of weeks.

It has been fluxuating with a different SERP return which has much much less, more of a difference than normal.

The other return has been 450,000 to about 500,000

----------------------------------

Anoth I watch has 2.2 Million returns, and it has shown the same fluxuations from the normal 2.2 Milllion to switching with 600,000 reutrned.

The sites on top are very different for the two different return versions I am seeing.

This is not a normal shuffle to drop by so much for 3-5 hours, seeminingly everyday in the mid afternoon.

The more common SERp which return much more results has my sites between page 1 and 5 (about 10 sites I watch here.) The greatly reduced versions general drop my sites back 2-3 pages.

The reduced version has a tendency toward larger sites and older sites it appears. I have been mostly concerned with page returned counts and looking at the time of day, I have not taken a close look at what pages prosper under each version.

i will be doing this in the coming days, i will crawl the top 3 pages of each version with IBPO and see if any on page factors seem to form a pattern.

I doubt it this simple, and I doubt I will see any conclusive difference, but those are the tools I have available to me so i will see.

Anyone who can watch their terms every 30 minutes or so thoughout the day, should look for this huge dropoff in total returns, and any pattern between the two serp versions.

Just my day in a post.
