Default Sandbox Detection Tool

Working Sandbox Detection Tool?

Fellow Moderator cbp (Craig) made me aware of a pretty good tool at http://www.socengine.com/seo/tools.php for checking keyphrase ranking difficulty.

On examining the Site I found another tool that claims to check and determine if your Site is Google “Sandboxed . The tool compares the site's rankings at Yahoo!, MSN, Teoma & the allin searches against the rank at Google:

See what you think about the “Sandbox Detection Tool":

I haven't seen this posted yet, but I sure have seen a lot of inquires on how to determine if a Site has been "Sandboxed".

Let me know what you think.

Default No More Sandbox

I think the sandbox filter has been replaced with some other type of filter. We are getting good results for sites we built this month.

Well this tool doesn't work at all.

I am #8 in Yahoo for the search term "arizona website design" (no quotes)

and I'm in the top 100 on MSN for the same term.

According to this tool I'm not in the top 100 for this term on any of the engines it checks.

Jacob,
I want to agree with you, that GOOGLE has rcvd so much negative press and sentiment about the sandbox, that they have "filtered in" something else. Whether it is LSI or something else, I am not sure.

But remember that part of the "sandbox" is initial good listings and then "WHAM"!

Jason,

I am with you, one specific keyword that I rank #1 on Yahoo and MSN didn't show at all here either.

Ya there is something buggy about that tool unless I just didn't understand exactly what it's trying to show me. Ken?

The 3 best methods to gain "Generic" IBLs are

1) add, update content depth and uniqueness

2) Submit to relevant directories go here: http://www.webproworld.com/viewtopic.php?t=21900 and beat your head and fingers on the keyboard submitting till they are sore, and then do it again.
Make sure and hit all the local area business directories you can find

3) Become a member (free) of PRWeb and do Press Releases

Special offer: Anyone that e-mails (no PMs - my bandwidth) me at prweb@mountaineagleweb.com, I will send experience based tips to on how to do an effective Press Release there. This is a special e-mail address that I have opened just to provide this service. I will close it when the spam starts.

In addition to Ken's post. You don't want to increase BL's to the search engines, you want to increase the amount of relevant sites that link to your site.

The search engines see this and rank your site higher. Your site must be more important if it has more relevant BL's then your competitors site.

Hope I didn't confuse you.
