Googlebot transfering mass data

Has anyone else been experiencing an unnatural amount of traffic from Googlebot over the past week? Some of our sites are getting really hit hard, one in particular. February stats show 50518 hits, 516.77 MB of bandwidth transferred in the past 11 days just by Googlebot. MSN is not far behind and Inktomi Slurp is paying far more attention to the site than normal. We are nearing the 1 gig of transfer just from the three of these bots. Another strange one, links from google 1041. There are only 22 pages on this site. There has been a total of 15 robots in the site this month transferring 1.4 Gigs of bandwidth mostly in the past week. Is there something going on for them to be so active.

Just checked all my sites today and one or two had insane amounts. 10K+ hits in the last couple of days.
