Default Was on 1st page now Gone - Help

We http://www.mailworkz.com were on the 1st page on Google for terms email marketing and bulk email. Now we are gone! - Not sure why this would have happened. Does anyone know how we can contact them to get this resolved. Our business will be dead without the Google traffic.

Thanks

Not sure if contacting Google will help. Seems like the last update cleaned up the relevancy of a lot of links. If you have what Google considered "spammy" links pointing to your site, you would drop and there's nothing you can do to bring that back up until you get more relevant links.

Did notice you rank #77 and #39 respectively for your terms, so you weren't completely dropped.

You may have to do some PPC until you regain your previous rankings.

Those rankings are old ones for our interior pages which still seem to be there. Our main page www.mailworkz.com is completely gone. When I type mailworkz as a search term it used to bring up our main page but now does not show.

Did they just ban our main index page?

I used the following tool at:
http://www.123promotion.co.uk/tools/googlebanned.php

And got this reply:
Site: www.mailworkz.com

1st Check.........

"This site is not banned from Google"

2nd Check (using a slightly different method).

"Google again cannot see this website. Its probably banned if not a fresh site."

I did see that your main page has a PR of "N/A" - which definately indicates that your home page is out of Google's index.

Do you have links pointing to your homepage? I looked under the hood and didn't see any code that would set off any alarms.

Thanks for the check - Don't they contradict each other 1. the site is not banned and 2. the site is probably banned if it is not a new site - our site is 5 years old and has always been on page 1.

When I look at the google tool bar when I go to our www.mailworkz.com - I see a page rank of 5 ( we seem to fluctuate between 5 and 6 ) - strange that you see N/A - what url are you checking.

Sorry forgot to mention that as of yesterday we had 336 links pointing to our main page.... certainly more than the 4th place listing under email marketing...

PR - strange. When I view your site in IE, I get the PR of 5. When I view your site with Firefox, I get the N/A.

Concerning your issue, I would go back to the update that took place over the weekend. It seems that Google was focused on giving more weight to topical links as opposed to just the amount of links pointing to your site.

Your 336 links pointing to your site, are they all using the same anchor text? If so, diversification may help you out on that. Google views identical anchor text pointing to your site as potential spam (had this happen to one of my clients), and will penalize accordingly.

No, from what I can see you occupy the first two places for "mailworkz".
You are on the 46th position for "bulk email" and I coudn't find you for "email marketing". It is surely very difficult to keep the high positions for the phrases that return 20/30 million results.
However the "dancing" is not over yet, so maybe you can climb higher.
