I'm relatively new to SEO, over the last few weeks I have started to develop an unhealthy interest!
Anyway I checked my google ranking for a particular keyword last week, it was about listing 26...I did a few bits and bobs to the page and about two hours ago I noticed that it had moved up to listing 12..I was very pleased with that. Well when I went back to check it about an hour later it was now down on the 3rd page at listing 24. I think this beast might be hard to tame.

mickywall,
I've noticed in google that new pages usually get a somewhat high ranking in google. After a while google then gradually lowers that page to where it thinks is appropriate. But just tweaking on site content is going to do little to help you in google. Spend your time on building links and expanding to your site add more relevant pages. |

Then progress to forum's on SEO Its addictive Your hair goes grey and starts falling out, then you realise Google is different, as Phantom says "Spend your time on building links" you do that and you creep up bit by bit, then you fall ..................AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Good SEO will really help with other engines, so keep at it! |
