Getting Linked!
I disagree that GOOGLE avoids affiliate sites, my travel site is a P5 site and it is solely an affiliate site. Additionally I ranked high on many keywords.
What you need is more links, pages with a PR4 or higher. I have heard though I have no facts to base my answer on that it is becoming harder especially for new site to be ranked on GOOGLE, your client is going to have to be patient. Rome was not built in a day!
Tell them to post to forum that have a page rank as you did here, GOOGLE spiders these forums regularly and thus the site will be indexed.
