Google Directory Update?

The Google Directory just updated, but this may be another case of it reverting to an earlier version, since at the bottom of each page it says "Modified by Google 2004."

Yes, it has reverted to a previous version of Directory.... they often do that ? :-(

Now it come back to an even newer version and PR has been updated in the Directory.

It still says that, but it has been updated to a more recent DMOZ rdf dump and PR has been updated from the previous version.

Ok, I want to be certain I understand what's happening here because the changes have had a significant impact on my sites’ exposure. More so, I am trying to evaluate all the work I've done over the past four months.

The initial thoughts were that the directory and PR reverted back to an older index. cpbs comments explain that yes it did step back but that it is also was updated with a new rdf dump.
So would you think that these results are static and it is safe to assume that the changes I’m seeing will remain as they are?

Google updated Directory a month or so ago - it then reverted back to an old version and then updated to an even newer version about a week ago. The current PR is the Directory is more recent than the toolbar.
