Default High Googlebot Activity Today!

Googlebot has been on our sites all day today - we constantly have about 30 bots on during the same time. Anyone else experience high g-bot activity on their sites?

I woudlnt' be surprised if we see a Backlink update in the next few days - this is a good indicator! :)

I got both types of google, the standard ant the Mozila type google bots ;)

it is about 3 to 5 days since google started to spide ;)

I am a bit scared what it will do to my pages.. grr...

I have about 2000 new pages on all domains combined and googles digs and digs ;)

But don't want lose my some older pages with stady stream of visitors, but today I have some little decrease.. hope it is for a short period ;>

HUGE update.

The bandwith Google took up on my site prior to this morning was somewhat in the same vicinity as all the other major bots.

The bandwidth jumped from 8MB to 29.42MB of bandwidth and for my site that is unheard of. At that in just one update.

WOW.

In the last week googlebot has spent the following on my site. This is way off from average. Could this mean that they are going to update my listings on google and get us out of supplemental land?

crawl-66-249-66-144.googlebot.com 548:36 MIN
crawl-66-249-65-205.googlebot.com 99:20 MIN
crawl-66-249-66-110.googlebot.com 62:53 MIN

This is what it looks like just about everyday.. I'm still waiting to get out of supplemental Hell on google. The only Search Engine that I hardly get any visitors because all my pages have turned supplemtental.

Yes it could mean that.
However, if you have such a good stats, you probably can see what pages google did spidered and which not.

and you always can enter in google

site:www.mydomain.com

to see pages in the index of the given domain.

try it now (before update) and after the update ;)

Googlebot seems to be dying down. I'm guessing we'll see a backlink update Feb 1st! :)

Man o' man

Google is still going strong.
Half an hour ago

55.73 MB Bandwidth
1990 Hits for the month

Seems like Google came back for more.

I must have some Candy Cane hidden in my website. :D

And yes, a important note - MY TRAFIC HAS DROPED, buy 20-30% and today, for about 30-40%.

But my previous experience tells, that this is for a time while google reindexes and calculates it's index. I hope when google be ready to go, I will got not decrease, but increase and my 80/day visitors will be 100 or 200 visitors a day for the whole month!

But I am scared. Becouse this is second time for me when google has so big influence on my trafic.

I thinks that google stops a bit all the pages and then does REINDEXING

it is like moving them to another box and then do the math and after a week will put them back into place.

First time it happened I had removed from index all new pages (1 month old they were).

Default Goolge crawling all weekend

Goolge has been crawling our site for the past 3 days.

Does anyone know how long it takes for the results to show up in the engine? If I remember correctly it takes about a week?

Regards,

Yep, it can take about week, sometimes even more.

As I have several pages, smalest 2 are already in the index and cashe, but the big one (2000 pages) is till in some `being crawled` position! I think this week it will be in!.

my 2 cents
