Googlebot looking for nonexistent files

I first noticed this with YahooSlurp a few weeks back. It would look for the same files I have in my main directory, but it would look for them in my subdirectories. Yesterday, I noticed for the first time that Googlebot is doing the same thing. Each request receives a 302 error code, moved temporarily, which doesn't seem right to me. Have I got something set up wrong or is this normal?
