backward links are all internal links?

When I check the backward links on google,
most of them are links from our website.
Wonder why?

Ignore backlinks you see when checking on Google. You only get a small meaningless and irrelavant sample.

Google use backlinks to determine PR.

What they show in the sample of backlinks to a site have NEVER ever been all the links thy use to determine PR....
