Default One day showing well the next day not showing.

What is up with Google? I was out of the sandbox or I thought I was but just checked yesterday and I am gone again. What are they doing over there? Makes me more excited for MSN to go forward with the new search.

Sit tight for now - Google started to shuffle on a few data centers yesterday. A number of sandboxed sites are reportedly out of the sandbox on one data centre (mine isn't) - need to wait until this propagates to all data centers or even if it holds.

I gess I will continue to add content and get inbound links and hope that I see it come back into the listings again. The site is only about 4 moths old.

Today, my site dropped from the mid-30s to #61, then to #50 for no apparent reason. I've made no recent content changes at all.

The only thing that is different is that I added about a dozen link partners over the weekend. They are all decent sites of PR 4 or higher.

Very frustrating......

I'm also seeing drops for a site that I've done nothing but work on. I don't know what's happening, but it's hurting this site.

I'm very new at trying to get listed at Google. I am also experiencing some of the problems mentioned in this topic.

I had two one page sub-domain pages that were listed very nicely at Google using very specific keywords. Both sites were listed where there were only approximately 1000 other pages listed under Google's results.

But, they WERE listed. One was #1 for about three weeks, the other #20.

Now, for reasons beyond my understanding, all Google shows is a "link" to both pages. This happened about 5 or 6 weeks ago also.

I have a couple of large web sites that have never ranked very well at Google, or many other major Search Engines. So, in an effort to try and learn how to make my main sites more relevant and acceptible, I decided to use small one page sites, sub-domains which point to very specific keywords that hardly anyone else creates sites about, so that I can better learn how to produce sites that are more informational and relevant to potential visitors.

Some of these have done very well. BUT, everytime I get something that seems to be working decently at Google, and before I get a chance to study it, I get eliminated from the search results.

I'm not sure if it's worth the time.

BTW, while I am in learning mode:
What is a BLOG???
What are Inbound Links and Outbound Links???

Anyway, I'll keep trying.

Davey

Wow, I thought I had messed up somewhere, but it sounds like a lot of people are having trouble. My site is only about 4 months old, but was doing nicely, then suddenly the PR jumped from 1 to 3 and all the links disappeared, plus it's not showing up for a lot of keywords, when it had been coming up on the first page for several. Maybe it's not something I did. Guess I'll just keep trying.

My site moves up and down 40-50 positions every day for the last 10 days. In average I am somewhere in 90#. So one day I am in 60#, another day in 130-140#.

I now noticed that for my 2 secondary phrases I fell from #10 to #40, and #6 to #19.

I've done no on-page optimization for a couple of months. I've only gone out and gotten a buch of links.

It definitely feels like a slap from Google, although I have no idea why. I gained a lot of links over the past two months, all with nearly identicle anchor text. I wonder if that's the reason.

If so, I'll be real upset. All I ever hear is get more links.
