Default WebPosition Problem - Google

I regularly submit my site through Webposition, optimized for specific kew words. Starting in January, I have encountered a problem. The page I try to submit is returned with and error:

I The requested URL /addurl?q=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.elbeco.com%2Fpolice+unif orms.asp&dq=&submit=Add+URL was not found on this server.

The url that was submitted was:

http://www.elbeco.com/police uniforms.com

I tried a manual submission on this same url and had the same result error message.

Any thoughts?

alfos,

Welcome to WPW,

The URL you gave can't be right; 2 x ".com" . No space between "police and "uniforms" either.
You probably meant to give this one:
http://www.elbeco.com/policeuniforms.asp

You may also want to read what GOOGLE says about submissions:
http://www.google.com/webmasters/1.html#A2

There is virtually no need to use submission software any more. If you feel the need to submit, you should use the main domain only. Most SE's and Directories do not allow subdirectory submissions.

I think that this is explanation in itself.

I agree with the comments above wholeheartedly. You are on the best route to a ban for spamming. Don't do it. If you are adding new content regularly, then you will get regular spider visits to index it. If you are not making regular changes, then you have nothing to worry about anyway.

Manual submissions to directories are fine. Some of the minority search engines might need a manual submission ONCE. They will probably find you anyway at some point, but I have found it helpful.
