Default Changing Domain Names

Hi,

We have changed our domain about 3 weeks ago, but Google still has it listed. I have submitted the change to DMOZ, and Google.

Part of the problem is that the domain was used for a site very similar before and is listed with Google for that at the moment.

Is there anything else I should be doing to make the change happen?

Thanks

Neil

Hi,

I have just rechecked and Google now has the correct info (title, description, etc) although it has the old domain as a link. You then get forwarded via the 301 I have set up.

A little strange I thought.

To speed matters up, you have to make sure that the new domain gets indexed. Start off by putting it in your forum signature so that it gets crawled more quickly.
