OK, I've made it to #1 thru #4 on Google for my top six revelent search terms:
Indianapolis wedding photographers Cincinnati wedding photographers Indianapolis wedding photographer Cincinnati wedding photographer Indianapolis wedding photography Cincinnati wedding photography So, why is Yahoo search still sending me from 4 to 10 times more visitors than Google? Not that I am hurting any...I already have 24 weddings booked for the first 8 months of '05!!!! My site does not get over a couple hundred unique visitors per day. I guess I don't need many to fill my schedule and I am sure that those search phrases are the ones that are bringing me "my buyers". I just wish I could see more "traffic" for all the months of hard work I've put into getting to the top of the heap on Google! I've about run out of relevent linking partners!!! Every time I do a search for new one, I hardly ever find any. My Arelis has over 1,000 sites I've contacted or ruled out from previous searches. Now when I search, I just get junk in return! Where to from here? Google search is just feeding me a mere hand-full of referrals per day! ice |

Do you know if Yahoo is sending you referrals for those exact search terms, or are there other search terms that they are sending as well. By looking at the daily search volume, it isn't huge by any means, so I would guess that the overall lack of searches is what is preventing a huge number of google referrals.

My "window shoppers" come in under the search term "wedding photos" and you can really spot them in the log anlysis because all they do is look at most of my 200+ sample photos and leave.
[they're no where near ready to think about hiring a wedding photographer...and usually, when they finally are ready, I'm already booked with another wedding for their date.] My website is such a strong selling tool for me that I have a third of my brides hire me without ever having met me in person!! Wedding photography is all I do for a living and I've been doing it for 41 years now. Not a bad way to earn a living, work one day per week, clear $1k on every assignment and be able to piddle around the rest of the week and train for running my marathons. Ah, life is good! ;) ice |
