I recall that in 2003 everyone was getting a PR increase every month. This upward trend could not continue, or everyone would become a 10. At some point things had to fall back to earth.

I do not think links are that important. For example, if I purchased a zillion IBL with anchor text that said President of The United States, my website would not rank above the White House. Google knows that I am not President. They have some very complex ways of rating websites, and it goes far beyond counting links.

You have a good point there. I have a real problem with an Oil Industry Manufacturing client who's URL is www.huntandhunt.com .

This one has "plagued" me from day 1, no, we are not a "hunting" site....and the "hunt" redundancy squashes me further.... Ohhhhh!

Do I need to find a much more appropiate URL with "Laser", "Laser Machining", "Perforating Guns", or something more pertinant in the URL?.. I am almost at the stage of that recommendation.

Let's aquire a new URL and "get down to business".

We're not hunting "frickin" deer here, OK! Keywords/Phrases retain a great deal of value in the assigned URL (even internally), don't doubt it for a second!
