Google index changed?
Hi, does anybody noticed that google index changed, looks like it has been resotored to old one - some 35 days old version.
I had 700 new pages indexed at my 150 page web site some 35 days ago, and now I am having only the old 80-90 pages.
Anybody can comment on this?

Yep!
I am noticing that many of my new pages that were being listed either go back to older pages, or are not even being listed at all. They were working yesterday.

I would dare to say a lot longer. I just did a "site:www.example.com" command of my site, and it lists more pages than the site has, because it's listing both new and old pages. Some of them haven't existed since May '04. It still has cached versions without the graphics. Hmmm...

Thanks for the tip on the command at Google. That helps me a lot!
I guess we're all at Google's mercy, lest we decide to create our own Search Engine. Hmmm... Nah!
I guess they'll update everything very soon. It's just an extreme aggravation.

Google Indexing & Updating
Hi there
From what I have seen since November Google has two bots at work.
The monthly indexing bot it has always had and a return to using an updating bot.
Results pages seem to change daily on Google.

Funny how much it has changed in the past week
Over the past week, we've had our most important keyword from a ROI perspective go from 1st to not in the index at all to 6th to not in the index to 3rd and finally back to 1st again. With all those fluctuations, it has made me very happy that we can also get a blue (above the organic) sponsored listing for under a quarter per click. At least we didn't totally lose the sales that we could have.

Well, history repeats!
I got these same 700+ pages in index for 2 months now, they currently are being searched like mad and trafic from google decreased 5 times. however, I belive this is acording to that I had changed every page and google now recounts keyword densities and links and ets. I start to exspec to show google results back soon and maybe even with beter conditon!
But it is very scary to see how you got
200hits, 200hits and then 40mit :>>
hoping for the best again!

Say what?
sandis.viksna,
"I had 700 new pages indexed at my 150 page web site some 35 days ago"
I'm lost here. How can a 150-page web site have 700 new pages indexed? I'm not trying to be a smart ass, I'm really trying to understand what you meant.
