Backlinks are Zero, Zilch, Nada - No Results - No Match

I know that Google's BLs are inaccurate and unreliable, yet I'm still baffled by the fact that my site has shown absolutely no backlinks for months now. Yet, a quoted search for my domain shows over 2,600 (and my recip link checker shows over 300 active recips).

Then there's my catalog, which I know is included in the 2,600 quoted search results, but even it shows at least 13 unique BLs.

And although my main site might say PR4, its been flip-flopping between PR4 and PR5 for a few days, but has been a PR5 for a month or two now. Not to mention, most of my 1-link-deep pages are still PR4, so my main site is probably going between PR4.95 and PR5.05.

So what's the difference between allinurl and a quoted search for the domain name (i.e., "giftsforyou.biz")? That is, aside from the fact that it returns half the results.

You can also try @:giftsforyou.biz or even :giftsforyou.biz

There are several ways to dig information out of Google -- for some of the information most used and abused by webmasters, Google seems to be trying to make it less readily available.
