Default Not showing in Google

Sorry about this - I am sure this has been looked at before, but I am new to the game and I just need a little bit of help.

My site at www.vacationhomefromhome.com has been alive for about 10 months.

I have listed with the main search engines, and the google bot visits me at least twice a day. There are over 1050 pages indexed by google - but I cannot find my site anywhere on the index using any of my keywords.

I have been listed in the Adsense program to get things kick started, but I have suspended that now.

My site shows at PR0, but I have some other sites listed with google at PR4 which are linked to vacationhomefromhome.com. A search for sites linked shows a big fat zero - but I know there are at least 10 as I have done them myself and they are listed with google.

Is there anything I can do to rectify this please

Welcome to WPW.

You probably sandboxed.

Thanks for the links.

I have looked at them and used the
allinanchor:exchange homes
allintitle:exchange homes

allinanchor:exchange homes brings me in at number 1
allintitle:exchange homes brings me in at 25

But a search for the same phrase brings me nowhere.

I am not sure what you mean about sandbox, but I take it I am excluded for some reason.

Is there a way to unexclude myself (if thats a word)

Thanks

Great. Do I just pack up and go home?

Or is there a way around this thing. Any suggestions at all would be of great help, I have spent a great deal of time, and a bit of cash on this project.

Would moving the whole thing from vacationhomefromhome.com to vacationhomefromhome.co.uk make any difference?

I have both web names, and could point the .co.uk address to the .com site.

Thanks

Your site is in the sandbox, pretty much like all new sites that have come online since about March of this year and can not rank for terms that return >100 000 or so results - no one is really getting out of it yet nor does anyone have the answer on how .... thats why there are so may threads at all the forums.

All you can do is just keep on getting links and be patient.

My sandboxed site, that all my experience tells me should be in the top 3-4 for its main keyword was not even in the first 1000 on G .... today its now at 673

Seems you are OK with Google.

http://www.google.com/search?q=site%...fromhome%2Ecom

returns 175 pages;

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...ge+Homes&meta=

puts you on the second place for the search term. It seems that the first one, co.uk is also yours.

You probably need a lot of work to optimize for other, more competitive keywords.
