Google Backlinks Update

Looks like G is updating backlinks.

for my sites, it is showing the usual "garbage links". The high PR IBLs are nowhere in sight. But of course, we know they are there :)

Big changes for the two sites that matter. Using data center 216.239.39.104 I went from 50 to 101 backlinks. For the other I went from 20 to 72.

Actually, my other server obtained a PR of 1! Well, an individual page - [here]
Which was a 0 before yesterday.....very interesting.
PR Update too?

Google says "thanks for giving" and does a backlink update on turkey day. Hopefully a PR update will soon follow.

For my site it has gone down. It was 84 before and now 71. But my google alert has given me some additions.

Improvement in BL numbers for all my sites but I'm particularly impressed that Google already picked up 15 back links for a site that only launched 2 weeks ago ! I must have done something right with that one. Can't wait to see a PR 9 and ranking update soon !

Our links in Google went down a few, but in the other engines it went up. Since Google only lists a sampling your backlinks, who knows. How are you checking your backlinks?

Mine went down as well.

I'm sure most subscribe to Google Alerts, and have an alert setup for the LINK:http://mydomain.com command. I've been noticing Alerts coming in from old links, like they've recently been added to the list again. Anyone lese notice this? It's almost like the backlinks have taken a backwards step and are now once again moving forward.

During the last two back links updates, my site go from 300 to 22,000. But no PR change, no serp change. When do you guys think it makes a difference, in the near future or never?
