Hi
Currently I have quite a few affiliates linking to our websites, however I still have a very low PR and it doesnt look like Google is counting them as backlinks. A typical link to our site would be http://www.domainname.com?s=aff123456 (s=aff would be followed by a unique affiliate ID) Is Google seeing the "aff" and not counting it or what could the problem be? Cheers Rian |

Those behind Google technology have decided not to allow a website to gain high PR by recruiting affiliates..
Google doesn't like parameters especially ones that are using aff for "affiliate"

Ok, point taken. My next question then is, in your opinion, should I start to have a look at changing the way my affiliates link to me (take out the aff) or should I move on to find other inbound links.
Bearing in mind that I have about 5000 inbound affiliate links. Thanks |
